Development has been a key part of the Kale Heywet Church's activities since the 1970s, when the KHDP (Kale-Heywet Development Project) was first formed.

We believe that salvation affects every part of human life, the physical, social and economic as well as the spiritual. By demonstrating the compassion of Christ, we are able to reach out to the community, showing them the truth of the gospel as well as proclaiming it.
