The Ethiopian Kale Heywet Church has recently completed a strategic review of its activities, and developed a new five year plan.  It is hoped that this will enable the church to better fulfill its mission, the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ himself.

The EKHC is blessed with thousands of ministers who are committed to full-time service. And  most of the Church's activities are accomplished by its members. Spiritual Ministries remains in the heart of the Church's work, as it aims to build up the body of Christ and reach the un reached new people with the Gospel. The  Church is committed to serving the "whole person", and  has also been running several development programs and projects over the last three decades.  A new Capacity Building and Community Empowerment program has been established within the last year, to help co-ordinate all the activities of the church and build up its capacity to fulfill its vision and mission.
